Community Enjoyed Herbs
From Grace This Past Summer

The purpose of the Grace Church's Summer 2014 Community Herb Garden was to provide free, fresh herbs for anyone who might need them, to encourage interest in gardening and community gardening especially, and to be a gift of creation to the greater Framingham community. We hope that this inspired further efforts to make Framingham, a greener, more welcoming town, with lots of local food in all parts of the community. The garden was planted in spring 2014 with the help of advice and discounted materials from River’s Edge Garden Center, donations of plants from Grace church members and members of Transition Framingham, and plants from Stearns Farm Framingham. We are inspired by similar efforts in England that you can read about here: http://www.incredible-edible-todmorden.co.uk/.

Keep an eye on the Grace property next spring. There's more to come in 2015!

A great list of things to do to respond to the water crisis -- some personal, some larger scale:

Grace Church Works
 at Stearns Farm

Grace has purchased both summer and winter shares at Stearns Farm. The church donates much of the harvest raised at the farm with the local Food Bank.
